Here are some photo’s I took around the house yesterday.

Some of the photo’s look as if I used a pink filter. That is because our bedroom has pink curtains, they filter the sunlight so beautifully. It gives a soothing and calming atmosphere to the room. During the day a light pink and during the evenings the yellowish pink light shown on the pictures.

The box is a vintage chrystal cigarette box. You keep the cigarettes in the box and use the top as an ash tray. My mom has one almost the same that belonged to my grandmother. I keep  another one like this without the top on my night stand. I used it as a cell phone stand.

Silver plated cake forks and coffee spoons.

I bought this jewelry pouch a couple of months ago on a fleamarket. I love items like this to complement my collection of mini perfume bottles.

I hope you all had a nice week . I am sure, like me, you are looking forward to the weekend. I am afraid the weather will not be that great over here. It has been nice in this week though.

A special greeting and hugs to my dear blog friend Ann Marie. She is going through a rough time. I am very sure that her faith, that is strong like a rock, will guide her through these hard times.

Well we survived yesterday’s hack. LOL

I’ve been fiddeling with my desktop computer a lot lately. It’s about 4 years old and I start to notice that it is slowing down.

It cannot stand the heat much. The fan that cools the processor is doing overtime when it is hot. It makes so much noice I get annoyed by it. At the same time I wonder when it’ll take off.

Recently I upgraded Internet Explorer  7 to IE 8. It wasn’t functioning very well, so I decided to downgrade again. Unfortunately IE isn’t very functioning very well since then, slowing down my computer up to a point that it looks as if nothing is working properly anymore.

Exit IE….

I downloaded Opera some time ago and yesterday I decided to use Opera to browse. I really like it! It has a nice sleek look to it. It is different though, but nothing I can’t handle. It just takes some time to get used to it. The functionality that makes it able for me to read your blogs through the RSS feed is very nice. It looks like an e-mail reader.

Talking about e-mail. I am using Mozilla Thunderbird a couple of years ago. Very nice too!

I guess I am learning that software doesn’t need to have Bill Gates fingerprints on it to work userfriendly and well.  What’s next?
Maybe an iMac somewhere in the distant future?

Do you know that Google has a feature which ennables you to keep
track of the statistics of you site or blog. It is called Google Statistics and it is very easy to install.

Like me you probably saw the black
screen appearing on your blog
during the day.

I did some research. Apperently
Blogspot  uses Imageshack to host
the pictures  that we use for our
header ….. and Imageshack  has been
hacked by  Anti – Sec  Movement.
I found this information on Google’s
help forum.

I have to admitt that I got really upset
when I saw the black screen appear,
because my  desk top computer had
been acting up.  I ran my virusscanner,
but nothing showed up.

Hello all!

Are you enjoying the wonderful weather like I am?  This week it is
going to be very hot, 30 degrees Celcius at the end of the week.
It’s great that summer has started, it’s not so nice that the airco at work is not working properly. It’s hot inside, I guess there is only one thing that I can do about it. Adjust my work tempo ;-)

We love to  sit outside in the evenings, enjoying our garden and a glass of wine ;-) That is the reason why I haven’t been very active on the computer lately.
